Job Summary:  To function as a field support staff to support the sales and service of hydraulic excavators. This is a remote position; candidate must live in Florida.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage a dense market of regional National Accounts in order to ensure that all work and responsibilities of each of his/her National Accounts is followed through properly within designated areas.
  • Responsible for visiting each location within a timely basis and making sure that technical matters are attended to during visits. Perform follow ups on any unresolved field complaints in a professional formal meeting at either National Account or customer’s jobsite with supporting National Account personnel accompanying this meeting.
  • Perform a weekly conference call to the sales and service group to keep connected to company’s direction, procedures, etc.
  • Provide documentation of each visit, and a technical support call to the National Service Manager weekly.
  • Training of National Account network personnel if needed to ensure all support personnel have sufficient training and knowledge to support the product successfully.
  • Advancement of National Account network personnel by assessing skill level of field service technicians and accommodating the proper levels of training courses to increase skill levels of the technicians.
  • Staying current with all improvements in technology and equipment design and changes as related to our field of products.
  • Communicate effectively with adverse, difficult situations and provide a positive approach to problem solving and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in promotion and sale of excavators in his/her region as well as assist in promotion of additional equipment.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Participate in weekly Field Service Department Manager conference calls.
  • Attend company-based training events and conferences as required. 

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Ability to comprehend technical drawings such as Engineering CAD drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics and other types of technical materials.
    • Strong analytical ability required to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management, and customers; strong and demonstrated effective verbal, written and listening skills and professional telephone skills and manners. Must be able to work as a member and leader of a team.
    • Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
    • Available to work as needed to answer calls from area professionals, and complete repair or direct as needed.
    • Available to take care of customers or employees at any reasonable time of day/week.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
    • Live within area of management (Florida).
    • Travel domestically and internationally 60% of the time.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Two to five years of related work experience.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Applied skills normally obtained through the completion of an Associate Degree in a technical discipline or the equivalent work experience from this or a related industry, or from military service and technical training.
    • College or Technical school graduate preferred.
    • Ability to communicate technically in a bilingual environment – English and Spanish preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
    • Must comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others.

    LICENSING OR OTHER SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Needs to be licensed in all countries, regions, states, cities he/she manages.
